Polo de Deauville 4th Gold Cup for Royal Barrière

Double for Royal Barrière : After the victory in the Silver Cup, the team that André Fabre and his manager Diego Zavaletta put together also won the Gold Cup finale, and the match was watched by the beautiful muse of Polo de Deauville, Georgia Jaegger, the daughter of the Rolling Stones’ lead singer.
The blond top model evidently favoured the team of Polo de Deauville that took the lead right at the beginning with 3:1 at the end of the fourth chukka. Afterwards, the four players had to endure attacks from the infernal Argentinean duo, Hilario Ulloa and Pancho Bensadon, who were supported by Chris McKenzie. The South African turned out to be an essential element in the performance of Royal Barrière, despite his young age (18yrs). Polo de Deauville obviously played very well with flawless Juan Ambroggio, who who did very well with Dario Musso’s long passes. But the “best player of the day” (Pancho Bensadon) showed an extremely strong will and enough aggressiveness to help Royal Barrière stay ahead of Polo de Deauville despite their strong comeback at the end of the match, and thus capture the victory.
Undefeated in Chantilly in June and July, victorious in Deauville in August: What better conditions could there be for André Fabre’s team when starting the Open de France in Chantilly next week? Will Pancho Bensadon go back to Argentina undefeated at the end of September? It would definitely lift his spirits for the “temporada” (the big professional season). Quatrième Coupe d’Or pour Royal Barrière
La jolie top-modèle soutenait bien évidemment l’équipe Polo de Deauville qui a démarré en trombe cette finale sur un terrain difficile : 3/1 au premier chukker. Ensuite l’équipe d’Alexandre Sztarkman a tenu tête aux assauts du duo infernal argentin, Hilario Ulloa et Pancho Bensadon soutenu par le jeune Sud-Africain Chris McKenzie qui, malgré ses 18 ans, a été un élément essentiel dans le travail de sape de Royal Barrière. Polo de Deauville jouait pourtant très bien avec un Juan Ambroggio jamais en défaut bien servi par les longues balles de Dario Musso. Mais l’agressivité et l’envie de Pancho Bensadon, nommé meilleur homme du match, ont permis à Royal Barrière de tenir Polo de Deauville à distance malgré un retour en force en fin de rencontre.
Invaincue en juin et juillet à Chantilly, invaincue à Deauville en août, l’équipe d’André Fabre s’attaquait la semaine suivante à l’Open de France à Chantilly : Pancho Bensadon repartira-t-il invaincu en Argentine fin septembre ? Cela lui donnerait sans doute le moral pour attaquer la « temporada » (la grande saison professionnelle). En tout cas, il aura illuminé le polo français pendant cinq mois !
