Polo Match Inspire Malta Polo Club

 

 

Inspire and the Malta Polo Club have teamed up with BMW to play an American tournament for the Prestigious Alexandria Cup, a trophy which goes way back to 1952, when it was presented to the Malta Polo club by the Alexandria Sporting Club. 

This one-day event was held on Saturday March 23, at the Polo Club in Marsa, and spectators had chance to watch Malta’s top polo players, battle it out on the field, combining precision, teamwork, speed and the thrill of danger. Not a sport for the faint hearted, Polo is exhilarating to play and beautiful to watch.

 

The tournament was played over 6 chukkas with 3 teams, the BMW polo team, the Malta polo club team and the Inspire polo team. The winning team was the Malta polo club polo team captained by Martin Arrigo who saw his team win over the other 2 teams.

The elegant sport of polo together with modern and luxurious automobiles, thanks to the support of BMW Malta, the main sponsors of the event gave spectators the chance to test drive some of BMW’s latest models present on the field. 

 

 

 

Throughout the event spectators were also be able to try their hand at Polo, by joining lessons given by a team of professional coaches.
